Who am I anyway?

My daughter opened this tab and complained, “Mom, you don’t tell anything about you here! I thought I was supposed to ‘Meet Elizabeth.'”

Well, in case anyone besides my daughter wants to know more about me, here goes. It’s a bit longer than most of my posts, but of all the names I’ve heard, no one’s ever called me simple…

HOW THEY SEE ME TODAY:
A “Good Weird,” my daughter called me recently.

An “Epic Good Weird,” her college friends added, when I found a way to cheer both of my high school daughters playing against each other one night on rival varsity soccer teams, one as a high scorer; the other, the keeper.

scattered kernels and not-there-yet

It all started from a newspaper article and a “let’s-do-coffee” date.

First, the newspaper article: a nice reporter asked if she could do an article on my family. Next thing you know, I’m labeled “SuperMom.”–Goodness! Not on your life!

Then, at a meeting at the local Starbucks, a woman informed me that “not everyone is as perfect and has it all together like you do.”

That did it. I had to show her. I opened my mini-van to show her: popcorn kernels…all over the floor…from when I dumped them three weeks before!
